When hair is wet it is a lot weaker than when it's dry. Always use a wide tooth comb to get your tangles out. Never use a brush or a fine tooth comb. I always use It's A Ten spray with keratin to help slide the comb right through. It's a great detangler and helps protect it from the heat. Always start at your ends and work your way up.

How to do a bun!
I saw this picture on Pinterest, of course, and I thought it was so cute! Buns are definitely in right now! I like this style because it's super easy and you can wear it like this if you're just out running errands or dress it up a little by wearing a different headband.
So I tried my best to take pictures of me doing this on my own hair... easier said than done. Hopefully I'll get better!
I took a strand from the top of the ponytail and looped it forward. I teased it to give it more fullness. You want to tease the part that will end up being the inside of the loop.
I pinned the loop, pushing the bobby pin towards the pony tail holder.
I ended up looping only four strands. Each time teasing and looping it away from the center. To make sure you don't have gaps between the loops, you can gently spread them with your fingers.
So this is the back view. It looks like I have so much hair! In the first picture, her bun was a lot messier. You can do it any way you like.
And from the side. So easy!

New Product I love!
I've always loved It's a Ten products. They are pretty much an all in one product. They add shine, protect hair from heat, strengthen, add moisture etc. Now they have a new volumizing collection! A shampoo, a leave in spray, and a root lifter. I didn't really have high hopes when I bought them, but hey it never hurts to try! To my surprise, I really, really like them!!! My hair was actually very smooth and shiny, you could see all my dimensional highlights, and I STILL had volume!!! That rarely happens. I either get flat shiny, smooth hair or voluptuous frizzy hair! I'm SO glad I gave them a try! They still smell just as good, if not better than the other products they have.

How to get those loose beachy waves
We all wish we could have those loose, beachy waves. Well, I can tell you how! It does take a little effort unfortunately, but it will last you a couple of days and actually looks better the more it falls.
First you will need one of these bad boys...
First you will need one of these bad boys...
Revlon 3-Barrel Jumbo Waver
Only place I've been able to find one is at Ulta. They're only $20!
They're kinda crazy looking!
1. The bottom section will be your thickest section. You wont need to start as close to the root so it wont pucker out. Comb out and hairspray each section before you clamp. This will keep the waves smoother looking so you don't have an 80's poodle perm.
Try to the line up the waves as you work your way down
When you get to the middle sections hold the waver straight out getting closer to the root
For the top, take slightly smaller sections so you can get as close to the root as you can stand it . Holding the waver more straight up will give you more volume.
I always do my crown area straight up because I like the most lift there. Plus you dont want your hair to wave in different directions causing a split at your crown like you got some crazy bed head.
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART!!!
DO NOT COMB OR BRUSH YOUR HAIR OUT! YOU WILL HAVE A HUGE FRIZZY HOT MESS AFRO THING GOING ON!
I flip my head up and down and take my fingers to try and shake it out some.
I also use lots of hair spray and scrunch it up with my hands
This is Day 1
I never crimp my bangs. I always leave them straight and do a little twist or braid and use a little flower or bow to pin them. Thats just what I like best on me.
Day 2
A lot more relaxed and natural looking. If you like this look better, turn the heat setting down and hold the clamp on the looser side.
Hope this was helpful! Feel free to contact me with any questions!
Lip exfoliant!
I've always had really dry lips to the point where i can never wear lipstick or lipgloss because it just looks and feels awful. Chapstick would make it worse! I bought this Fresh Sugar Lip Polish from Sephora and I can't even begin to explain how amazing this stuff is! Now I know what it feels like to have normal lips! You just massage a small amount on, then wipe off with a damp washcloth. Takes 2 seconds. It actually taste like sugar, no bitter, soapy nastiness. So glad I found this!

Simple Hair Trick
Do you ever wonder why there's a cool button on your blow dryer? It's made to "set" the hair. So once you've completely dried your hair, blast the cool air in a downward motion to smooth the cuticle and hold your style in place. You can also take the top section of your hair, wrap it around a round brush or velcro rollers, spray a little hairspray then dry on a low cool setting for extra body.
